Behold Him · A Church Visual Journey
Behold Him: The One Who Transforms is Mindi Oaten’s 42-painting visual journey through the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. Rooted in Scripture and woven with the recurring image of the monarch butterfly, the collection reflects the transforming work of Christ and the new life, resurrection hope, and spiritual renewal found as we behold Him.
42 Scripture-inspired works
From the Word made flesh to the risen and reigning Christ. A visual journey through the life and ministry of Jesus. For church leaders
Each painting reflects a moment in the life of Jesus while carrying the collection’s invitation to look again, linger in Scripture, and encounter the One who transforms us. Churches may walk through all 42 works as a complete Gospel journey or draw from individual paintings for worship, teaching, prayer, discipleship, retreats, and seasonal ministry.
Keep the collection in sequence so the movement through the life, ministry, death, resurrection, ascension, and reign of Jesus remains clear.
Present all 42 works as an exhibition, or draw from individual paintings for sermon series, prayer nights, discipleship, retreats, and seasonal teaching.
Give each work visual space. Scripture, image, silence, and reflection should lead before additional explanation.
Use the reflection pages as invitations to behold Jesus, listen to Scripture, pray, and respond rather than as assignments to complete.

Ministry Pathways
The full sequence tells one continuous story, but churches can also draw from natural movements within the collection for shorter teaching, prayer, or seasonal experiences.
Begin with the Word made flesh, Immanuel, and the early scenes surrounding the coming of Christ.
Build a Gospel teaching series around His calling, miracles, parables, compassion, authority, and invitation to follow Him.
Move toward Jerusalem through service, communion, Gethsemane, the trial of Jesus, and the Cross.
Center Easter ministry on the crucifixion, empty tomb, the risen Christ, ascension, and reign of Jesus.
Use the collection’s recurring monarch imagery to reflect on beholding Christ, new life, spiritual formation, and becoming more like Him.
Behold Him · 42 Works
Each work has a permanent reflection destination designed for Scripture, prayer, and future audio or video additions without changing the QR code. Each reflection also leads to the corresponding fine art print for churches that want physical artwork in their space.
Exhibition & Ministry Guide
For the complete exhibition, retain the supplied 42-work order. It carries viewers from incarnation through ministry, the Cross, resurrection, ascension, and transformation in Christ.
Large spaces may divide the journey into natural Gospel movements while maintaining the numbered sequence.
Treat each artwork as a pause. Leave enough room that one station does not visually compete with the next.
Use only the approved exhibition files supplied with the exhibition license. Preserve each painting’s supplied portrait, landscape, or square proportions rather than cropping or stretching it into a standard frame size. Local print rights belong to the licensed campus and do not transfer fine-art reproduction rights.
Pair each artwork with a restrained title, Scripture reference, and QR reflection. Keep supporting text secondary to the artwork.
Permanent mindioaten.com reflection URLs can later receive expanded writing, audio, or video without requiring churches to replace printed QR codes.
Church Leader Guide
Introduce Behold Him simply. Invite people to move slowly, read the Scripture, look at the artwork before reading the reflection, and remain with any work that feels significant. The goal is not to rush through forty-two paintings, but to create space to see Jesus more clearly.
For a complete exhibition, retain the numbered sequence. For shorter ministry seasons, use the pathway groupings above while keeping each selected work rooted in its Scripture context.
Silence, prayer, and response are part of the experience. The artwork is not meant to replace Scripture or teaching, but to help people linger with the Word and encounter the Gospel story visually.
