Mindi Oaten Art church licenses make Scripture-based artwork useful for ministry while protecting the integrity and ownership of the work. These terms apply to standard single-campus church licenses unless an expanded license is provided in writing.
Single Artwork Church License
A valid Single Artwork Church License grants one church at one physical campus a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the one artwork selected at purchase for the standard digital ministry uses listed below. It does not include local exhibition-printing rights.
Standard Digital Ministry Library License
A valid Digital Ministry Library purchase grants one church at one physical campus a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to use the licensed artwork for ministry.
- Sermon, worship, teaching, presentation, classroom, prayer, retreat, and discipleship screens
- Church livestreams and archived sermon or ministry videos
- The licensed church's website, email communications, and official social channels
- Bulletins, handouts, small-group materials, and internal ministry communications
- Reasonable cropping, resizing, and text overlays for ministry layouts, provided the artwork is not distorted or materially altered
Printable Church Exhibition License
The Printable Church Exhibition license includes every right in the Digital Ministry Library and additionally permits the licensed church to print the supplied approved exhibition files locally for recurring temporary or rotating on-site ministry exhibitions at the licensed campus.
Approved settings include prayer walks, Lent and Holy Week journeys, retreats, discipleship spaces, hallways, foyers, classrooms, and other church ministry environments.
Exhibition printing is limited to the approved exhibition files and the maximum print dimensions stated in the purchased product or package unless Mindi Oaten Art provides separate written approval.
Exhibition rights do not authorize production of permanent standalone fine-art décor intended to replace Mindi Oaten fine-art prints or professionally produced church installations.
Church Use Only: No Personal Use
This license is granted to the purchasing church for its authorized ministry use. It does not grant personal-use rights to pastors, staff members, ministry leaders, volunteers, congregation members, or any other individual associated with the church.
Licensed artwork and files may not be printed, reproduced, retained, displayed, gifted, or otherwise used for personal home décor, private collections, personal gifts, or any other non-church purpose. Church staff and volunteers may access and work with the files only as necessary to create materials or displays for the licensed church.
For Printable Church Exhibition licenses, prints produced under the license must remain for the licensed church’s ministry or exhibition use. They may not be taken home, sold, gifted, or retained by individuals for personal display.
Not Included
- Resale, sublicensing, redistribution, or sharing source files with another church, ministry, organization, publisher, or individual
- Merchandise, fundraising products, commercial products, books, products for sale, or other revenue-generating reproduction without separate written permission
- Printing Digital Ministry Library files as standalone wall art; only files specifically marked for exhibition printing may be printed under an Exhibition license
- Multi-campus, denomination, network, publisher, conference, school, nonprofit organization, or third-party use without an expanded license
- Recoloring, repainting, filters, or derivative artwork beyond reasonable cropping, resizing, and ministry text overlays
- Use of the artwork, files, or resource materials for artificial-intelligence training, machine-learning datasets, model development, or synthetic image generation
- Claiming authorship, removing a visible signature when it is part of the artwork, or representing the work as owned by the licensed church
Copyright & Ownership
Copyright remains © Mindi Oaten. Purchasing a license grants specific usage rights only. Ownership of the original artwork, copyright, and digital reproduction rights is not transferred.
Credit
Where practical, especially on websites, exhibition labels, printed programs, and public-facing resource pages, use: Artwork by Mindi Oaten | mindioaten.com. Credit is not required on every sermon slide or social layout when it would materially interfere with the ministry design.
File Stewardship & Vendors
High-resolution files should be stored in a restricted staff or creative-team location. Do not place master files in public folders, unrestricted download links, or shared drives open to outside organizations.
A printer, production vendor, or installer may temporarily receive files only as necessary to complete authorized work for the licensed church. Files may not be retained, reused, sold, or distributed by the vendor.
Church Purchasing, Invoices & Purchase Orders
Churches that require an invoice, purchase order, vendor setup, or accounts-payable documentation should contact Mindi Oaten Art before checkout. Please include the church or ministry’s legal name, billing address, accounts-payable contact, selected product or license, licensed campus, and any PO or vendor requirements.
Mindi Oaten Art can coordinate the purchasing documentation needed for the order. A purchase order does not by itself change the license scope or create payment terms unless those terms are separately agreed in writing.
Tax-Exempt Church Purchases
If your church or ministry is tax-exempt, contact Mindi Oaten Art before placing the order and provide the applicable exemption documentation for review. Tax-exempt treatment is not automatic, and documentation or eligibility requirements may vary by jurisdiction. Mindi Oaten Art does not provide tax or legal advice.
Expanded Licensing
Standard church licenses cover one church at one physical campus. Multi-campus churches, networks, denominations, publishers, conferences, schools, nonprofit organizations, ministry networks, and other third-party or organization-wide uses require an expanded license.
For an expanded-license quote, provide the number of campuses or participating locations, the collection or artwork requested, the intended uses, approximate duration or event dates if relevant, and whether files will be shared with centralized creative or communications teams.
Custom Permissions
Please request written permission before using Mindi Oaten artwork outside the standard church-license scope, including publishing, books or curriculum, conference or event use beyond one licensed campus, fundraising products, merchandise, organization-wide campaigns, partner-ministry sharing, or other commercial or third-party reproduction. Custom installation and fine-art project requests can also be submitted through the Churches & Ministries inquiry form.
Pastoral & Resource Note
Restore and other Mindi Oaten Art ministry resources are designed for worship, prayer, teaching, and spiritual formation. They do not replace Scripture, pastoral care, professional counseling, medical care, or other appropriate support.
Proof of license: Your Shopify order confirmation serves as proof of purchase for the licensed church and campus. If an invoice or purchase-order workflow is used, retain the completed order confirmation and related written approval with your church records.
