Ordering & Payments
What currency is the store in?
Mindi Oaten Art operates in U.S. dollars (USD). The final currency and amount shown at checkout will govern your purchase. If you are ordering internationally, your bank, credit card company, or payment provider may apply currency conversion or additional fees.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments are processed securely through Shopify and approved payment providers. Major credit cards and other available payment methods will be shown at checkout.

Will I receive an order confirmation?
Yes. After placing an order, you should receive an email confirmation with your order information. If you do not receive it, check your spam or junk folder first, then email mindi@mindioaten.com if you still need help.
Original Art & Commissions
How can I purchase an original painting?
I release original artwork throughout the year from studio work, collections, exhibitions, and live-painting projects. New work is often announced through the website, social media, and email list.
You can view currently available original artwork here. If a piece is no longer listed, it may already have found a home.
Can I commission a custom painting?
I accept a limited number of commissions when my studio schedule allows. If you have a project in mind, please use the contact page or email mindi@mindioaten.com with as much information as possible about the subject, intended size, timing, and purpose of the piece.
Commission timing varies depending on the project and studio schedule. If I’m able to accept your commission, the scope, timing, price, and other important details will be confirmed before the work begins.
Who owns the copyright to a commissioned painting?
Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, Mindi Oaten retains the copyright and reproduction rights to commissioned artwork. Purchasing the physical artwork does not automatically transfer copyright.
If you need reproduction, publishing, licensing, or broader commercial rights as part of a commission, please mention that at the beginning of the project so those rights can be discussed separately.
Fine Art Prints
What kind of fine art prints do you offer?
Mindi Oaten Art reproductions are Giclée fine art prints created with professional printing processes and archival-quality inks. The goal is to preserve the depth, color, and detail of the original artwork as faithfully as possible.
Available materials and sizes vary by artwork, so please check the individual product listing for the current options.
What is the difference between a flat canvas print and a stretched canvas print?
Flat canvas prints are printed on canvas and shipped flat or rolled depending on size. They are designed to be framed and typically include a white border around the artwork.
Stretched canvas prints are wrapped around wooden stretcher bars and arrive ready to display. Where specified in the product listing, stretched prints may also include a protective finish and hanging hardware.
What print sizes are available?
Available sizes depend on the proportions and format of each painting. Please refer to the size options shown on the individual artwork listing for the most current choices.
If you are filling a larger wall, combining several related works into a gallery wall can be a beautiful way to display a collection.
How should I care for my fine art print?
Handle the printed surface carefully and keep artwork away from excessive moisture, prolonged direct sunlight, and anything that could scratch or adhere to the surface. Please do not place tape directly on the printed image.
Shipping, Pickup & International Delivery
How long does it take for an order to ship?
In-stock items are generally processed within 2–3 business days. Reproduction fine art prints are made to order and may require up to two weeks of production time before shipping.
Shipping time begins after production and processing are complete.
How is artwork packaged and shipped?
Orders are packaged carefully according to the size and type of artwork. Smaller flat prints may ship flat, while larger flat prints may be safely rolled for shipping. Original artwork and oversized pieces may require additional packaging or specialty delivery arrangements.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Mindi Oaten Art accepts international orders to supported destinations.
International delivery times vary by country and customs processing. Customers outside the United States are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, import taxes, brokerage charges, or other fees assessed by their country.
Can I pick up my order in Durant, Oklahoma?
Local pickup may be available by prior arrangement in Durant, Oklahoma. Please contact me before placing or collecting an order so availability and timing can be confirmed.
Framing & Display
Do your prints come framed?
Unless a product listing specifically says otherwise, framing is not included.
Do you recommend framing flat canvas prints?
Yes. Framing is a beautiful way to finish and protect a flat canvas print. Many prints are offered in familiar frame proportions, but always check the exact dimensions on the product page before purchasing a frame.
For long-term preservation, I recommend using acid-free mats and framing materials whenever possible.
Can artwork be displayed in a church, office, ministry, or business?
Yes. A purchased physical artwork or print may be displayed in a personal or business space. Displaying the physical artwork does not include the right to reproduce, publish, distribute, merchandise, or otherwise commercially use the image.
Returns & Customer Care
What is your return policy?
Original artwork and commissioned pieces are final sale.
Eligible reproduction prints and non-custom merchandise may be returned if the return is requested within 7 days of delivery and the item is unused, undamaged, and in its original condition and packaging.
Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer, and original shipping charges are non-refundable.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
Please email mindi@mindioaten.com within 3 days of delivery and include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs of the item and packaging.
We’ll review the situation and determine the appropriate replacement, refund, or other resolution.
How long do refunds take?
Once an approved return has been received and inspected, refunds are issued to the original payment method. Depending on your bank or payment provider, it may take approximately 5–10 business days for the refund to appear.
Galleries, Wholesale & Interior Designers
Do you work with galleries or retail shops?
Yes, I’m happy to consider opportunities with galleries, retailers, and other carefully aligned partners. Wholesale and resale arrangements are reviewed individually.
Please contact me with information about your shop, gallery, audience, location, and the artwork or products you are interested in carrying.
Do you work with interior designers?
Yes. I enjoy working with designers and clients who are thoughtfully placing artwork in homes, hospitality spaces, offices, churches, and other interiors.

Copyright, Licensing & Reproduction
Who owns the copyright to Mindi Oaten’s artwork?
All artwork, images, written material, and creative content remain the intellectual property of Mindi Oaten and/or Mindi Oaten Art LLC unless specifically stated otherwise.
Purchasing an original painting, print, book, or other product gives you ownership of that physical item. It does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights.
Can I reproduce Mindi’s artwork or use it on products?
Only when the specific use is authorized by an applicable purchased license or by prior written permission.
Artwork may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, altered for redistribution, placed on merchandise, used in advertising, published commercially, licensed to others, or incorporated into another commercial project unless the applicable license or written authorization expressly permits that use.
The artwork also may not be used for AI training datasets, machine-learning systems, image-generation platforms, or automated content systems without explicit written consent.
Can I license artwork for a book, ministry, product, event, or other project?
Possibly. If you are a church looking for standard ministry use, please first review the Churches & Ministries licensing options, since many common church uses are already available through dedicated licenses and resources.
For books, publishing, products, events, broader ministry or organizational use, merchandise, custom projects, or uses outside the standard church-license scope, licensing requests are considered individually. Please email mindi@mindioaten.com with the artwork you are interested in, how it would be used, the expected audience or distribution, duration of use, and whether the project is commercial or nonprofit.

Churches, Ministries, Media & Partnerships
Can a church or ministry use Mindi’s artwork?
Yes. For standard church ministry use, please begin with the Churches & Ministries licensing options. Depending on what your church needs, you can license a single artwork, a complete Digital Ministry Library, or a Printable Church Exhibition for approved ministry uses.
If your church wants to use artwork or reproduce it in a way that is not covered by an available church license, such as publishing, books or curriculum, a multi-campus or organization-wide project, conference use, fundraising products, merchandise, custom installations, or another special use, please contact me for written permission or expanded licensing.
Displaying a purchased physical original or print in a church does not require a digital-use license, but reproducing or publishing the artwork image does require the applicable license or separate written permission.
Can I feature Mindi or her artwork in an article, podcast, publication, or media story?
Yes, media and editorial inquiries are welcome. Please request permission before publishing images from the website.
For interviews, press information, approved high-resolution images, or image-use permission, email mindi@mindioaten.com.
Do you donate artwork to charitable causes?
I consider a limited number of charitable and nonprofit requests as my studio schedule and inventory allow. Please email mindi@mindioaten.com with information about the organization, event, purpose of the request, and relevant dates.
Because I receive more requests than I can fulfill, I’m not able to accommodate every submission.
