Who owns the rights?

All original paintings, fine art prints, and digital images on this website are the exclusive property of prophetic artist Mindi Oaten, specializing in Christian art, biblical fine art, and faith-inspired paintings. All works are protected by international copyright laws. Purchasing an artwork (original or print) transfers ownership of the physical item only—not the copyright.

You receive: the right to display the physical piece privately.
You do not receive: the right to copy, reproduce, edit, resell reproductions, license, or otherwise commercially exploit the image.

Quick guide (easy yes/no)

You may:

  • View this website and share a link to any page.

  • Post a link to an artwork on social media (using the platform’s native share/preview), with credit to Mindi Oaten.

  • Resell an original or print you purchased (first-sale doctrine) as the physical item only—no new prints/copies.

You may not (without written permission):

  • Copy, download, screenshot, scan, trace, photograph, or otherwise reproduce images from this site to make prints, products, or digital files.

  • Upload full-size images to other websites, marketplaces, or social platforms.

  • Use images in logos/branding, album covers, book covers, ads, AI training datasets, NFTs, merch, or any commercial project.

  • Remove watermarks/metadata or crop images to obscure attribution.

  • “Hotlink” images (embedding my image files hosted on this site into your site/app).

Reproduction & derivative works

  • No reproduction rights are granted with any purchase.

  • Derivative works (e.g., studies, redraws, edits, filters, AI variations) based on my images are not permitted without written permission.

  • Commissioned/custom work: unless otherwise agreed in writing, copyright remains with the artist.

Social media & sharing

  • You’re welcome to share links to my artwork pages.

  • If you post a small preview image, it must be the platform-generated preview or a low-resolution image with clear credit:

  • Do not upload full-resolution images or remove signatures/watermarks.

  • Do not edit, filter, or alter the artwork image.

Press, blogs, galleries & event use

  • Press/blog features may use 1–2 low-res images with visible credit and a dofollow link to the original page on mindioaten.com.

  • For print circulation, cover usage, exhibition catalogs, or gallery promotion, please request permission (see “Licensing Requests” below).

Educational use (schools, churches, non-profits)

I support learning and ministry. Limited educational use may be granted for classroom slides or sermon presentations with clear credit and no distribution of files. For study guides, printed materials, livestream backgrounds, or broader ministry use, please request permission contact.

Prohibited uses (without a signed license)

  • Any commercial use (ads, packaging, products, POD, merch).

  • AI datasets/training, generative models, or style transfer.

  • NFTs or tokenized assets.

  • Stock libraries or template sites.

  • Use in a way that implies endorsement or partnership without consent.

Watermarks, metadata & technical protections

  • Do not remove or obscure signatures, watermarks, or copyright metadata (EXIF/IPTC).

  • Do not attempt to circumvent image protections, downloads, or paywalls.

  • Automated scraping or bulk downloading is prohibited.

Licensing requests

Need to use my artwork for a book, album, film, ministry resource, curriculum, or product? I offer case-by-case licenses.

Please include:

  • Your name/organization and contact information

  • Which image(s) you want to use (link or title)

  • How the image will be used (medium, distribution, print run, geography, duration)

  • Commercial or non-commercial context

  • Deadline or launch date

Enforcement & takedowns (DMCA)

Unauthorized use may result in invoices for retroactive licensing fees, DMCA takedown notices, and/or legal action. If you believe an image was posted in error or you hold a valid license, contact me immediately so I can review and resolve it.
