Lamentations — Our Portion
Representative Scripture: Lamentations 3:22-24
Mindi's Reflection
Lamentations consists of a series of poetic and powerful laments over the destruction of Jerusalem. Several times the Lord is called upon to look on the distress of Zion and come to her aid. When reading through Lamentations, all I could picture was the garden weeping, as through Jesus himself was crying over the heartbreak of the people’s sin and the ruins as their consequence. His tears flow filling up the empty hole, his mercies are new every morning, the living water that renews.
