Mindi Oaten Art Collection
This collection was inspired by a vision I had in a prayer time, December 2020. I asked the Lord for a "word" to paint for 2021, he showed me a mantle, in my favourite colour and a crown, hearing the word "authority." I knew it spoke of my authority in Christ as a daughter of the King, seated in heavenly places. This vision continued where I saw angels from the throne room mantling and being sent to assist people with these colours and crowns, commissioning those with new assignments and purposes for a new season. Arched like the rainbow around the throne, I heard God say, "paint the rainbow."
This series represents many layers of meaning that is still unfolding, but in short, it speaks of a new season God is calling His bride into; calling us higher, to shine and reflect His glory in the midst of darkness. To rule and reign with Him. To throw off the grave clothes and be mantled with the garment of praise, fully embracing our purpose and new assignments on the earth. It speaks of God's government, a Kingdom reign, His covenant and promises. The days we live in - like those of Noah. To be purified and rise in maturity as the body of Christ, preparing for the bridegroom to come. To arise and shine!
A rainbow is caused by sunlight and atmospheric conditions. Feeling as though we've been through a storm in this last season, the Son shines radiant white light through the water droplets, refracting His light through purified ones. They form a display of radiant colours from heaven. When unified, we shine as one glorious sign and wonder to the earth, a reminder to God of His promise to humanity. I see God mantling His church with these new colours, calling us to shine bright in this next season! A sign of hope, of praise and of His purposes.
