"Rain Boots" - Painted Day 2, reviveTEXAS, Dallas
"he will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the later rain, that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil." (Deuteronomy 11:14)
Last night I had a dream of a weather pattern that was coming, a storm that will destroy structures...when the evacuation team came to my door to take me to safety until the storm passed, I remember grabbing my rain boots. When I woke up I sensed the Lord was saying "Get ready for an outpouring. And be ready to step into it!"
It's time to get prepared for the torrent of spiritual rain that is coming, rains of refreshing and outpouring of the Spirit. The storm may shake things up, but if we wait through the storm with joy and anticipation, the outpouring of refreshing rain will come. And when that comes, we need to be ready to step into it!
The picture depicts the idea of donning our rain boots to go out in the rain, so we can dance and rejoice when the heavens open and the rain falls.
The red boots are a symbol of Christ and being covered by Him. His joy brings us the strength and protection we need. We can safely and joyfully encounter the rain of the Spirit when we are clothed with Him.
We are entering a time of spiritual down-pouring and need to put on our "boots" to walk in the water, to go deeper.
This painting reminds us to rejoice always no matter what the circumstances are. Rejoice in His rain.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15:13)
