"Birthing Change" - 24 x 30 inches acrylic on canvas

Painted for my Collectors Club, May 2021

Let us know; let us press on to know the Lord; his going out is sure as the dawn; he will come to us as the showers, as the spring rains that water the earth.” Hosea 6:3

“Shower, O heavens, from above, and let the clouds rain down righteousness; let the earth open, that salvation and righteousness may bear fruit; let the earth cause them both to sprout; I the Lord have created it.” Isaiah 45:8

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43: 18-19

The ten eggs represent God birthing a new season of spiritual discipline and something new coming in the Earth in this time. A new spiritual awakening! One that we haven’t seen before, one that will pour down like rain and water the dry land, parched of God’s Word… and prepare the Earth for His return. The river accumulating water until it was a rushing river, like the mighty sound of God’s voice, roaring a sound of revival through the land. I feel a sense of greater spiritual discipline and obedience to God’s voice as we enter this new season, it’s not business as usual but a greater commitment to tuning into what God is doing.

Other symbolism to note:

Eggs: life, renewal, abundance, well-being, promises, rebirth, fertility, new beginnings

Rain Clouds: revival, the Word of God, abundance, outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Butterflies: endurance, change, hope and life

Psalm 72:6 “He shall come down like rain upon the grass mowing, like showers that water the earth.” Most prophetic insights into this verse indicates that the coming of rain is a call to expectantly wait on God as we position ourselves for the things that He is doing.

The Holy Spirit has been described using lots of symbols in in the Bible one of them being rain. The nature of rain is that it is released from the skies above just like the Holy Spirit that descends from the heavenly realms. God has several intentions for releasing the Holy Spirit like the rain upon the earth. Some of them include:

  • Empowerment (Acts 2: 17-18)
  • Refreshment (Psalm 68: 7-9)
  • Restoration (Hosea 6: 2-3)
  • A harvest of souls (Isaiah 44: 3-5)

This is an exciting time to be alive, alert and awake! I believe we are going to experience a mighty new outpouring like we’ve never experienced before. Can you feel the rain coming?

Original artwork, acrylic on stretched canvas. Wrapped edges are painted white. Adding a beautiful custom frame will give your new painting added elegance, but is not necessary if you prefer the raw edge look.
