"Miracle Power" | Hebrews - 'Garden of Grace' mini collection - fine art print
For the Garden element in Hebrews, I chose to paint the Almond Branch again… to represent resurrection and miraculous power. Also the reference to God “watching” over his promises. The almond branch is the first tree to blossom, Jesus was resurrected, the first to ascend to heaven. He holds the keys to the power over darkness, the first to “blossom” over death. Almond blossoms are referenced in Numbers when Aaron’s rod blossomed, God performing a miracle showing his choice over the priesthood. Jesus is the new high priest, budding a new blossom through his life sacrificed on the cross. The new high priest in the order of Melchizedek… The almond flower felt appropriate on many levels for this painting.
