A quiet flame endures.
An ancient lamp burns with a steady, unwavering light, its glow not striving, but abiding. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” Psalm 119:105. It is the kind of light that has walked with generations, illuminating truth in hidden places, in moments of searching, and in awakening, where it rises from a quiet flame into a clarion call.
Before it, the Word lies open.
The pages, worn and softened with time, rest upon the threshold of the land, not as something distant, but near, present, and alive. “For the word of God is living and active” Hebrews 4:12.
And yet, this Word is not only written. It is revealed. It is known.
“In the beginning was the Word… and the Word was God… and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” John 1:1,14.
The invitation is not only to read, but to encounter the Word made flesh, the One who draws near and calls us to know Him.
The ribbon gently marks its place, as if to whisper, return here again.
And the earth begins to respond.
The soil, dark and freshly turned, carries the quiet evidence of repentance, a turning of the heart back to Him. What was once hardened has been opened. “Break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord” Hosea 10:12. Beneath the surface, unseen work has already begun.
From this place, life rises.
A garden unfolds in fullness, color and beauty pressing upward from the soil. What begins in stillness now emerges in awakening, beauty rising where there was once barrenness. Each bloom bears witness to renewal. Each petal speaks of restoration. “For we are to God the fragrance of Christ” 2 Corinthians 2:15.
Butterflies rest among the blossoms, gentle signs of transformation, formed in the hidden work of change. What was once unseen now becomes visible, a quiet work revealed in full expression. “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind” Romans 12:2.
And there, a nation is laid near the Word. The flag rests within reach of the pages, under the authority of the Light. “Righteousness exalts a nation” Proverbs 14:34.
This is not a beginning. It is a returning. A returning to the Word that breathes. A returning to the Light that leads. A returning to the One who calls us near.
“If My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land” 2 Chronicles 7:14.
When the Word returns, the garden blooms again.
