In the hallowed Garden of Gethsemane, beneath the cloak of a star-studded sky, Jesus underwent a profound transformation that foreshadowed His impending sacrifice, much like the sweat of drops of blood that glisten on a pure, unblemished sacrificial lamb. His anguished cries reverberated through the ancient olive grove, encapsulating an inner turmoil that hinted at the agonizing journey He was destined to undertake.
As He knelt in the stillness of the garden, His sweat fell like drops of blood, a poignant prelude to the sacred Lamb of God, about to be offered in atonement for the sins of humanity. Just as the butterfly's chrysalis represents an earthly struggle toward rebirth, the sweat of blood upon Jesus' brow signified the excruciating earthly struggle that would lead to His ultimate sacrifice.
As Jesus uttered those heart-rending words, "Not my will, but Yours be done," it was a declaration of surrender, a foreshadowing of the ultimate earthly struggle to death on the Cross that lay ahead.
