"Engage" - Painted Day 5 of reviveOHIO, Darke County
“He took his stick in his hand and chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in the shepherd's bag which he had, even in his pouch, and his sling was in his hand; and he approached the Philistine.” (1 Samuel 17:40)
It is time for the Church to engage in the battle. We have sat too long and the Lord wants us to to pick up our weapons. David’s life as a shepherd was a training ground for his calling, he connected to the Father’s heart in worship in the secret place, in obedience to what he was called to do. He was the unlikely choice to defeat the giant. His strength was in the Lord. He faced it head on and engaged in the battle, defeating the giant in the name of the Lord. We are being called to be bold like David. God has trained each of us in our own unique ways. He’s equipped us with weapons and gifts necessary to claim victory over what He's already won. Fullness of life is found when we engage.
