Colossians "Our Supreme Creator"
Colossians shows Jesus Christ’s divine characteristics. He is the creator over everything. It is in Him we are rooted and therefore it is from His life that we get our nourishment. The overall composition I painted was based on these verses:
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.” (2: 6-8)
This is a picture of the two choices we face, being rooted in Christ and his ways or following hollow and deceptive philosophies of man’s ways which leads to deception. The choice is ours to decide and follow.
