Because I love stationary so much, I decided to turn his mixed media collection into a beautiful note card set! It is a statement of God’s power to transform sorrow into joy and despair into triumph. He can take our brokenness, our ashes, and turn them into something beautiful. He can take the hurts and heartaches of our lives, the things that have left us broken and disfigured, and restore us to wholeness. We can be made new, purified, and refined by the promise of God's love and forgiveness. Just as gold is purified through fire and intense heat, so too can we be purified and refined through the transformative power of the Holy Spirit when we surrender to Him. This imagery is a powerful reminder that God can use difficulties and trials in our lives to refine us. Instead of seeing these troubles as obstacles, we can view them as opportunities to grow, like a beautiful flower, and be made more into the likeness of Christ.
