A lone rider moves steadily along the dusty trail, eyes fixed ahead. He is not hurried. He is not distracted. He is simply faithful to the path before him.
The Bible rests behind him, secured to the saddle — his rear guard. As Isaiah declares, “the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.” The Word carried daily becomes both covering and defense, forming steadfastness in the quiet miles.
The tin cup hangs secure at his side, swaying with each step yet fastened firmly. Immovable does not mean untouched by motion. It means anchored.
His hat shades his eyes as he rides with purpose. Always excelling in the Lord’s work is not striving — it is rising each day, ready to obey.
Beneath the saddle, the blanket bears unseen weight. It absorbs the friction of the miles. So it is with our labor in the Lord — quiet, often hidden, but never wasted.
The trail stretches on, but he rides knowing every faithful step matters.
Steadfast and anchored, he moves forward.
