“The Overcomers” - Painted Day 4 of reviveFLORIDA
“They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.” (Jeremiah 1:19)
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)
On New Years Eve 2016, I had a dream that I was in the middle of the ocean (there were other people in the ocean as well). I looked behind me and a giant swell was coming at us. I remember the feeling of panicking, knowing the wave would crash over me with no way of escaping it. Sure enough, it crashed over us. We were tossed around under the water in the strong currents and came back up. As we surfaced, took a deep breath, another wave came at us. This time, as I was tossed around under the water, I felt the Holy Spirit teaching me how to move with the water and navigate the current. By the third wave we knew what to do and rode the wave without even going under. We were able to maneuver with the water to rise above it. I woke up with such an overcoming sensation. We are the overcomers.
A couple weeks later, while in my studio, I was listening to a spontaneous worship set that Amanda Cook was singing in the background. She sang the lyrics, “the waves that was meant to crush you, will be the waves that will lift you higher.” I felt the Lord's presence as tears rolled down my face. The Lord is teaching us to be overcomers in this season. The new wave of revival is here. We are in the depths of it. Become a wave rider.
