“Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.” (John 6:26-27)
I believe we are in a season of preparing and preserving for what’s to come. And we must be serious to gather the harvest and do the work to preserve it. The process can be hard work and messy, but once it’s ready and sealed, it will be used for such a time. This is a painting of discipleship and process. We are planting, tilling, working and picking in the fields, often done by many different people with a common goal; to create good, nutritious food for later. The growth is done by God. If we skip a step or don't seal the jars properly, the food can spoil and is thrown out. Jesus is the seal that will preserve us forever, an eternal seal.
