Asters symbolize patience. (as well as faith, stability, depth and calmness) I purposely painted the same crown of asters from the Proverbs painting, to tie in James as the “proverbs” of the New Testament. A source of wisdom from the Old to the New. With the theme of patience, it ties into having patience under trials and testing. We persevere with patience and long suffering.
